About
The workshop series: Introduction into Insurance allows you to explore the many facets of the insurance industry in a practical and interactive way. With practice partners and the Institute of Insurance Science of the University of St. Gallen, you will be introduced to the industry from different perspectives and have the opportunity to connect with company representatives from some of the largest companies in the market. Ultimately, you can benefit from the workshops in the long term, as successful participation not only expands your knowledge and network but also offers an official certificate of participation.

The workshop series is composed of five modules:

- The Non-Life division (10.10. | 17.15 – 19.45 | Zurich Insurance)
- Insuring Life & Health (17.10. | 17.15 – 19.45 | SWICA)
- Investments in Insurance (24.10. | 17.15 – 19.45 | To be announced)
- InsurTech - Innovating the industry (21.11 | 17.15 – 19.45 | Helvetia Insurance / Smile)
- Everything about Reinsurance (28.11. | 17.15 – 19.45 | Swiss Re)
For this workshop series, we've teamed up with the Institute of Insurance Economics (I.VW) to provide you with an official certificate of participation. Every module takes place in Wintergarten (Room Nr. 11-1111 - 1.st floor behind the curtains - SQUARE)
Important: Please take note of our cancellation policy. If you cannot attend the event anymore, we ask you to notify us at least 24h prior to the event. Not only does this help us with planning but also gives participants on the waiting list the chance to receive a spot at the event. No-shows will result in exclusion from upcoming SBC events for 3 months.
Please also note that 4 out of the 5 modules must be completed to receive a certificate of participation.
As places are limited to 20 participants, please sign up until Sunday, 8th of October.
You will get our feedback until Monday, 9th of October after the final participants have been selected by SBC.
